NBHRF Summer Studentship grants strive to develop the next generation of health research in New Brunswick.

Award Information


Deadline: January 25th, 2021 (UNB internal deadline)

Value:

  • $3450 (8 weeks)

  • $5175 (12 weeks)

  • 6900 (16 weeks)

Requirements:

  • Supervisor must hold funding for the research project you are to be involved with.

  • Be registered in year one, two or three of a bachelor’s degree in a health related field or of a New Brunswick based M.D. program

  • Student must be under supervision of at least one researcher conducting science in a health-related field.

 

Application Process


  1. What are you passionate about? Think about the kind of health research you would be Interested in and search for local labs/professors/institutions conducting science in that field.

  2. Whose research stands out to you? Contact a professor who’s conducting health research that you find interesting and inquire if they are open to summer internships. If they are, apply to an NBHRF award together.

  3. How do you navigate the online application?

    • Go to the Undergraduate/Medical School page on the NBHRF website and read the requirements guide.

    • Login on the Canadian Common CV system

    • Make an application with 4 attachments: 1) Research Project summary, 2) Transcript, 3) Canadian Common CV, 4)Signatures from department and institution

    • Submit completed application on the CCV system
